Audrey Seaworth Published in NAIS Magazine

Houston Christian High School is proud to announce that sophomore Audrey Seaworth’s writing has been published in the Fall 2025 issue of Independent School magazine, a publication of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Audrey’s piece, titled “A Day in the Life of Houston Christian High School,” offers a student’s perspective on the unique community, courageous leadership, and authentic connections that define the Houston Christian experience.

Her vignette highlights moments of vulnerability and joy on campus—from faculty stepping onto the ComedySportz stage to teachers joining pep band and chapel—that create an environment where students are encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and grow as leaders. Audrey writes that these shared experiences between students and faculty demonstrate the heart of Houston Christian: a school community built on trust, relationships, and opportunities for personal growth.

Publication in Independent School magazine places Audrey’s voice on a national platform, offering readers across the country an authentic glimpse into Houston Christian’s culture and values. The magazine is widely read by leaders, educators, and families in independent schools nationwide, making Audrey’s piece both an honor for her and a recognition of the school community she describes.

“We are thrilled to see Audrey’s words reaching such a broad audience,” said Leanne Messer, Head of School. “Her reflection captures exactly what makes Houston Christian special—the courage of our students and faculty to step forward together, take risks, and grow in a community rooted in faith and connection.”

Audrey’s publication is not only a personal accomplishment but also a moment of celebration for Houston Christian. It affirms the school’s mission of developing leaders of character and highlights the lasting impact of a community where students and teachers alike are willing to step out of their comfort zones to grow, learn, and inspire.
