  • Government and Economics Instructor

    Government and Economics Instructor
     
    Houston Christian High School (HC) is accepting applications for a  Government and Economics Instructor. This position reports to the Social Sciences Department Chair and Principal and works in collaboration with other Social Sciences Teachers and Faculty. This is a full-time, exempt position. Experience in teaching different levels of Social Sciences is beneficial. The specific teaching assignment would be determined according to department needs. 

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Government, Economics History or other Social Sciences areas.
    • Teacher certification or equivalent preferred.
    • Classroom Experience.
    • Proficient in basic technology applications, specifically Google Apps knowledge (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).
    • Excellent verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Boys’ Baseball Head Coach

     
     
    Houston Christian High School (HC), a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Boys’ Baseball Head Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary.
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of the sport, coaching high school athletes, and development of assistant coaches. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Boys’ Baseball Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director  and is responsible for the overall operations of the program, in and out of season. Additional duties of the head coach include working in coordination with the Athletic Director to manage program budget, supervise activities and promote positive community relations. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
    • Minimum of five years coaching experience preferred 
    • Ability to supervise and evaluate the coaching responsibilities of assistant baseball coaches.
    • High level of knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of baseball program operations, including a practice plan that has a high level of development.
    • Strong work ethic, energetic, enthusiastic, flexible.
    • Excellent communication which includes interactive social media experience.
    • Exhibit strong public relations which includes building relationships across the  spectrum of the school and the athletic community

    Seeking a Volleyball Freshman Head Coach for the 2025-26 school year to join our dynamic coaching staff. This is a part-time, seasonal position paid with a stipend. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary. 
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of Volleyball and coaching high school athletes. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.

The Development Senior Associate is responsible for planning and implementing the annual giving program (The Mustang Fund) and supporting the annual giving events (the golf tournament, the annual gala, and scholarship program) by securing underwriting and sponsorships via leading year-round solicitations and campaigns to diverse constituents to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum three years of fundraising experience in annual fund or equivalent with a proven track record.
