    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Instructor to join our dynamic Science Department for the 2026-27 academic year. This full-time, exempt position offers the opportunity to teach a variety of high school physics courses, tailored to your expertise and the department's needs.     Position Overview:

    Houston Christian (HC) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a part-time School Nurse in a job-share opportunity. This exempt position is expected to work approximately 2-3 days per week and will report directly to the Executive Director of Business Affairs. Working collaboratively within a job-share arrangement, you will play a vital role in providing preventative health services, conducting health assessments, delivering nursing care, and facilitating referrals for the students of Houston Christian High School. This position also holds responsibility for the oversight and administration of the School Nurse Clinic.

    Qualifications:
    • Current Registered Nursing (RN) license with the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
    • Current AED/CPR certification.
    • Experience in community health or school nursing preferred.
    • Excellent English verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Mail, and  August Schools (EHR) is highly desirable.

    Girls’ Soccer Head Coach
     
    Houston Christian High School (HCHS), a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Girls’ Soccer Head Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position paid with a stipend but could be combined with a full-time opening. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary. 
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of Girls’ Soccer, coaching high school athletes, and development of assistant coaches. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Girls’ Soccer Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director  and is responsible for the overall operations of the program, in and out of season. Additional duties of the head coach include working in coordination with the Athletic Director to manage program budget, supervise activities and promote positive community relations. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.
     
    Minimum Requirements:
     
    Broad knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of Girls’ Soccer program operations.
    Ability to supervise and evaluate the coaching responsibilities of assistant coaches.
    Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
    Working knowledge of SPC policies and HC policies governing athletics.
    Understand and agree with the philosophy and mission of HC.
    Maintain an active Christian faith that is a role model for HC athletes and exemplifies the HC mission.
    Minimum of five years coaching experience preferred.
    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Development Associate for Alumni Relations

    Development Associate for Alumni Relations 
     
    Houston Christian is accepting applications for the position of Development Associate for Alumni Relations. The Development Associate is responsible for creating a robust and meaningful Alumni Association, identifying and working with key alumni to lead HC’s alumni activities, building an Alumni Association Board, and engaging alumni in the HC community, along with supporting the Development Department with  Campaigns. This is a full-time, 12 month, exempt position. The Development Associate works in collaboration with the Development team members and the Communications/Marketing  and Admissions Departments and reports to the Director of Development. This position is open for immediate hire. 
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree required 
    • 2 or more years experience in Development operations
    • Communicates comfortably with school representatives, parents, students, alumni, and representatives from the business community 
    • Self-starting and able to multitask.
    • Can work independently and collaboratively
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. 
    • Excellent presentation and editing skills. 
    • Ability to think strategically and proven problem-solving skills. 
    • Ability to operate a personal computer, proven skills with the Google suite of products, Excel, Word, and Raiser's Edge/Blackbaud or comparable fundraising software. 
    • Creative seeker of solutions and able to use technology or learn the products. 
    • Familiarity with the independent school environment is preferred. 
    Qualified candidates should have demonstrated success in project management, fundraising, event planning, and volunteer management.  The ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, and analytical, communication and organizational skills are necessary for success in this position.

  • Girls' Soccer Assistant Coach 26-27

    Girls’ Soccer Assistant Coach
     
    Houston Christian High School (HC), a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Girls' Soccer Assistant Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position paid with a stipend. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary. 
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of Girls’ Soccer and coaching high school athletes. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.
     
    Minimum Requirements:
     
    Broad knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of Girls’ Soccer program operations.
    Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
    Working knowledge of SPC policies and HC policies governing athletics.
    Understand and agree with the philosophy and mission of HC.
    Maintain an active Christian faith that is a role model for HC athletes and exemplifies the HC mission.
    Minimum of two years coaching experience preferred.
    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
