Houston Christian High School welcomed the Christmas season with its annual Christmas Concert & Visual Arts Show, an evening filled with music, artistry, and celebration of the Savior’s birth.
Guests began the night exploring a vibrant Visual Arts showcase, where students displayed original works across a variety of mediums. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the Jazz Band, opening with Caribbean Christmas, which “infuses beloved holiday classics with vibrant island energy,” and including spirited renditions of A Charlie Brown Christmas and All I Want for Christmas Is You, featuring Annabelle Cody.
The Orchestra delighted audiences with a mix of classical and modern holiday favorites, from Corelli’s elegant Christmas Concerto to the nostalgic charm of Music from Home Alone and the reflective beauty of Mary, Did You Know?
The Choir brought the season to life with traditional carols like O Come, O Come Emmanuel and joyful favorites such as We Wish You a Merry Christmas, representing “the rich traditions of Christmas music…in anticipation and celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.”
The Concert Band rounded out the evening with lively arrangements including Carol of the Bells, Trinidad Tidings, and a playful Cowboy Christmas, filling the auditorium with energy, rhythm, and festive cheer.
More than a performance, the evening was a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the hope and joy found in the birth of Jesus. Houston Christian is grateful to its Fine Arts faculty, student performers, and families for making this night a cherished holiday tradition.
