Shine at Houston Christian

Whether your students have been creating and performing since they were born or started yesterday, Houston Christian’s Fine Arts Department has a space for them to explore and develop their unique and exceptional gifts. We believe talents are designed to uplift, encourage, and glorify God, and we invite you and your student to join us as we develop our talents for Him.

Fine Arts at Houston Christian encompasses a broad array of activities that include both performance art, such as theatre, orchestra and choir, and visual art, such as pottery or photography. Students learn real-world application for art and performance through regular guest speakers and collaborating on projects with local art leaders. They also showcase their talents through seasonal concerts and performances, including an outdoor fall concert, holiday concert and art show, and spring musical.

Our highly-qualified and engaging faculty strive to familiarize students with the elements and concepts of performance and visual art in social, historical, and biblical contexts. Houston Christian wants our students to have an awareness about the influence and power of art and be able to use it in a way that glorifies God.

The service and encouragement from our students’ art is not limited to the Houston Christian community. Fine Arts students regularly tour throughout the city, the country, and the world to share and expand their talents!
