Beyond These Walls is a unique program that provides Houston Christian students the opportunity to learn firsthand about other countries and cultures through missions, education, and adventure. The world is our classroom here at Houston Christian High School, and we encourage all our students to take advantage of this philosophy by participating in one of the many trips our school embarks on each year.

Come learn with Houston Christian High School, where education is a journey. Over the past two decades, students have traveled to dozens of destinations off the beaten path to experience culture, grow in leadership, and deepen their spiritual understanding.

Whether for a college visit, fine arts tour, or wilderness challenge, the students of Houston Christian are encouraged to explore and learn from people beyond their sphere of influence. Qualifications for trips vary depending on location and purpose, but we’re certain you’ll find a trail for you to blaze!

Spring Break 2024: Science in the Galapagos Islands

The Science Department will travel to the Galapagos Islands over spring break from March 7-March 14, 2024, and we want you to join us! Spots are limited! Sign up now to receive the early registration discount. If you sign up before June 1, 2023, the total cost for the trip is $4,596 - a discount of $460!

This trip is intended for students who are not eligible for the Fine Arts trip to Europe. Payments are arranged through WorldStrides as you sign up for the trip through their website. Spring Break 2024: Central Europe Trip

HC will travel to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest for Spring Break (March 8-17, 2024). Performance and educational experience are open to all HC students. The cost of the trip will be around $4,000 per participant. Stay tuned for more details.
Summer 2024: Distinguished Scholars Program

Our Distinguished Scholars Program will be traveling to Paris, Switzerland and Bolivia in June 2024 to further their studies within their curriculum. For more details, please contact Program Director, Dr. Patricia Droz.
Summer 2024: Wilderness Trip

Challenge yourself in the wilderness, backpack a challenging mountain range, and build relationships with Christ and classmates. This leadership trip is an experience of a lifetime! Stay tuned for more details.
Summer 2024: Joshua Expeditions Mission Trip

Join HC Chaplains this summer and be a part of a life-changing experience by serving the community in Costa Rica. This mission trip will involve building homes for those in need, and we are proud to partner with Joshua Expeditions to make it happen. You will have the opportunity to travel with us from May 28 to June 2 and use your skills to make a meaningful impact. The cost of the trip will be approximately $3,000 per participant, and we will be sharing more details soon. Get ready to make a difference in the world!
