ABOUT

Houston Christian High School engages students to become impactful leaders through an empowering, dynamic education within a spiritual worldview.

We are INTENTIONAL.

Houston Christian is an independent, nonprofit, coed day school accredited by Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and serves nearly 500 students in ninth through twelfth grades.

We are DISTINCTIVE.

Each one of our students graduates with unparalleled leadership training through curricular and co-curricular opportunities. Houston Christian is home to The George and Barbara Bush Center for Scholars and Leaders, which provides a learning environment where students build the skills and competencies needed to be moral and ethical leaders. With established leadership courses and an integrated approach through all disciplines, this is a center of learning like no other in Houston, the nation and the world.

We are INCLUSIVE.

Our collegiate-style campus is built on 45 beautiful acres near Interstate 10 and Beltway 8, attracting students from 72 different zip codes throughout Houston. We offer state-of-the art facilities to optimize the educational experience, including the largest black box theater in the city, Harrell Family Strength and Conditioning Center, and Brown Family Dance Studio.

We are LEADERS.

With nearly 70 percent of its faculty awarded advanced degrees, Houston Christian provides rigorous, collegiate-style academic programs where students are challenged to discover their potential and to become difference-makers in their communities. Our method of encouraging student inquiry has produced National Merit Scholars, Fulbright Scholars, perfect SAT and ACT scores, and graduates who attend the most esteemed universities in the country. In addition, our graduating classes are regularly offered more than $7 million in collegiate scholarships. Our alumni grace the boardrooms, Broadway stages, courtrooms, pulpits, and classrooms of our nation, and we are proud to hear of each success along their path.
