Houston Christian Celebrates National Merit Achievements

Houston Christian High School is proud to recognize the outstanding academic accomplishments of its students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Five students have been named Commended Students, an honor awarded to those who scored in the top 2% of juniors nationwide on last year’s PSAT. These students have demonstrated exceptional academic skill and are among the highest-performing students in the country. This year’s Commended Students are Olivia Donohue, Rebekah Gerard, Andrew Knobbe, Anna Senseman, and Tripp Watson.

In addition, Houston Christian proudly announces that two students have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists. This distinction is awarded to less than 1% of high school seniors nationwide, acknowledging truly extraordinary performance on the PSAT. These students will continue in the National Merit Scholarship competition, where they will compete for approximately 6,930 scholarships worth more than $26 million. Representing Houston Christian as Semifinalists are Tully Florey and Gracie Cervantes.

These students exemplify Houston Christian’s commitment to academic excellence and achievement, and the school community celebrates their hard work, dedication, and future potential. Congratulations, Mustangs!
