This week, Houston Christian High School had the privilege of welcoming four undergraduate students from Taiwan, all aspiring educators, for a unique observational experience on our campus. The students, brought by Dr. Lee from Soochow University, visited HC as part of a multi-school tour in the Houston area, exploring different classroom settings and teaching styles.
During their visit, the students observed a variety of subjects, including English, social sciences, and Bible, gaining firsthand insight into Houston Christian’s approach to teaching and learning. While the visit is informal, our faculty embraced the opportunity to showcase authentic classroom experiences and share the culture and values of HC.
“Our hope is that these students not only learn about effective teaching practices but also see the impact of a Christ-centered education in action,” said Darren Price, HC principal. “It’s an honor to steward our gifts in a way that invests in the next generation of educators.”
The visit reflects HC’s commitment to fostering global connections, cultivating cross-cultural understanding, and sharing the principles of a Christian worldview in education.
