Houston Christian Honors Veterans at Annual Veterans Day Chapel

Houston Christian High School gathered as a community on Friday to honor the brave men and women who have served our country at this year’s Veterans Day Chapel—a meaningful tradition that brings students, faculty, families, and local veterans together in gratitude and reflection.
We were honored to welcome Patrick Henshaw ’04 as our keynote speaker. A Houston Christian alumnus, West Point engineer, military leader, entrepreneur, and Founder/Managing Director of Render Capital, Patrick shared a powerful message grounded in service, integrity, and courage. His global leadership experience—from the military to the world of venture capital—offered students a compelling reminder of how character and faith shape a life of impact.
Before chapel, HC hosted a special reception for veterans from within our Mustang community. Students from Chorale, Band, and Orchestra delivered heartfelt musical tributes, helping set the tone for a morning of honor and remembrance.
As a school, we are deeply grateful for the veterans who joined us, for those connected to our families, and for all who have served with sacrifice and bravery. Veteran’s Day remains one of the most significant moments in our school year—a time to pause, give thanks, and recognize the freedoms we enjoy because of the selfless service of others.
Thank you, Veterans. We are forever grateful.
