Division 1 Recruit Commits to NIU

Congratulations to our D1 and D3 commits! Two Houston Christian seniors have chosen their next home base for this fall and our community couldn't be more proud!
Noah Kon, a D1 recruit, has committed to Northern Illinois University. His coaches say that Noah personifies what our Houston Christian basketball culture is. He is an elite leader, teammate and student athlete.  On the court he holds several school records but his biggest contributions may have come in how he impacted everyone around him in his tenure as a four year varsity starter and student at HC. He will be sorely missed but his legacy of excellence will be a benchmark for future HC athletes.

Nathan Self, a D3 recruit, has committed to McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Nathan's coaches say that he was a leader for the HC team. He combined a high level skillset with a tremendous work ethic. Nathan’s diligence set an example for our younger players. Nathan’s ability to shoot the ball became an asset to our team and he became recognized as one of the best shooters in the city.  I know his best days as a player are ahead of him.

Congrats to both of our outstanding players!
