Robotics Club Advances to Robotics Regional Competition

It was another successful year for the StangTech as the four-year-old robotics team advanced to regionals at the BEST – Boosting Engineering Science and Technology – Robotics North West local competition last month.
Earning highest honors at the competition, Houston Christian’s Stangtech clinched the Most Robust, Best Marketing Presentation, Best Engineering Notebook, and top BEST Award. This is the second year in a row StangTech has earned the highest honors at the BEST competition - beating out 20 Houston area public and private schools!

The competition’s conservation theme required StangTech to design a robot to clean garbage out of the ocean. It was required to ride on rails considered to be the ocean current and save rubber ducks and pick up trash.

The team will compete again at the regional competitions in Dallas at the end of November where Houston Christian will compete again 72 champion teams from hubs across Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Great job everyone and good luck!
