Compete at Houston Christian

At Houston Christian High School, our Mustang Athletic Department is dedicated to nurturing the heart of the student-athlete, emphasizing the development of character, integrity, and sportsmanship in alignment with Christian values. We are committed to fostering a competitive spirit that reflects our faith, encouraging our athletes to pursue excellence both on and off the field. Through dedication, teamwork, and perseverance, we strive to achieve high levels of athletic performance while maintaining a Christ-centered approach to competition. Our ultimate goal is to develop well-rounded individuals who excel in their sport, academics, and their walk with God.

It’s our goal that every student who wishes to play high school athletics receives a positive, quality experience. Houston Christian provides a place where students of any skill level can connect with their peers through Dynamic Sports Training and coaches.

Houston Christian is a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, which structures its league to allow students to play up to three sports per year during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Houston Christian offers 13 different sports, along with a strength and development coach who will provide personalized programs in our Harrell Family Strength and Conditioning Center.

Sports at HC

Our Sports Medicine team at Houston Christian has partnered with Houston Methodist. The Official Health Care Provider of the Houston Texans, the Houston Astros, and Rice Athletics is also the Official Health Care Provider of the Mustangs. In addition to having access to the top sports orthopedic doctors and the Concussion Center at Houston Methodist, we have a team physician and two certified athletic trainers to provide the best care for our students.
