HC Theatreworks performed “Newsies” at HBU

Houston Christian High School’s Theatreworks produced a specular show, “Newsies” and performed at the Dunham Theater of Houston Baptist University on February 10-12, 2022. It has been two years since our HC students have performed at HBU, due to COVID-19, and they brought their enthusiasm straight to the stage. "Newsies" tells the story of a group of underdogs who become unlikely heroes after they stand up to the most powerful men in New York. This is a tale about fighting for what's right... and staying true to yourself. It was a high-energy explosion of song and dance that impressed the audience. An HC Alumni review stated, “HC Theaterworks put on an incredible, high-energy show that left the entire audience smiling. They did such a wonderful job telling the story and the passion they had in their vocals and choreography was thrilling!" We are so incredibly proud of the entire cast and crew of this production.
