Our Charlotte’s Mustang Cafe and the wildly popular coffee shop, Uncommon Cup, offer various delicious and healthy food options for students every day and are provided by Taher Food 4 Life.
We are excited to be serving the students and families of Houston Christian High School. Given the ever-changing challenges surrounding COVID-19, we want to ensure you that student and employee safety is our number one priority. Every aspect of the dining experience has been reviewed to ensure all participants are safe during the entire meal service. We have specific procedures and protocols that allow for adequate social distancing, elimination of shared touch points, proper hand sanitizing, and adherence to COVID-19 requirements for meal preparation, serving, clean up and disinfecting. Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves at all times when in the kitchen and serving areas and have completed required training classes on COVID-related safety protocols. All meals will be served in closed compartmentalized containers rather than students serving themselves from the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Bar.

Chef prepared student meals like Chicken Parmesan, Santa Fe Rice Bowls, Build Your Own Burritos, Chicken Fried Steak and more. -
Full Service Salad Bar
variety of greens, fresh vegetables, croutons, fruit, and freshly made salad dressings. -
Pizza and Pasta Bar
Fresh homemade pizzas including BBQ, Pepperoni, Basil & Tomato, and Meat Lovers. Chef prepared pasta dishes include Chicken Alfredo, Penne Pasta and Spaghetti. -
Grab-n-Go
Selections of freshly prepared sandwiches and wraps. Sandwich offerings include Turkey Ranch Wrap, Combo Sliders, Caprese Cibatta. Salads include Buffalo Chicken Pasta, Cobb & Chef Salads, and Chicken Ceasar Salad. -

Chef Jesus Deluna started working with Taher at Houston Christian eight years ago and has progressed from Sous Chef to Chef and now Chef Manger. Jesus is very talented and brings a wealth of cooking experince from the various resturants he has worked for prior to joining Taher food service.
