Thank you for your interest in Houston Christian High School’s parent association, the Mustang Parent Council!
As a vital and engaging piece of Houston Christian’s community, we work to enhance and support our school’s spirit and culture to provide the best educational experience for our students, teachers, and families of Houston Christian.
If you’re looking to volunteer or become or involved in our campus culture, I invite you to read the exciting and relevant ways our parents serve our students in the list below. There’s a multitude of needs that can only be filled by a multitude of talents. Along with volunteering at school, the MPC also provides each grade level with a parent who serves as a school liaison, and sends out weekly informational notices relevant to your student’s grade. There are also quarterly parent lunches for each grade where school staff and MPC representatives give brief updates on upcoming events and school information.
We invite you to explore the options below of how to become involved in building dynamic, ethical leaders of the next generation.
Join us as we celebrate and create some of our school’s most memorable traditions! From the beloved Red Shirt Ceremony to Cocoa and Cookies at Christmas, the fellowship committee works tirelessly to encourage students, parents, and staff during the school year through meaningful events and thoughtful gifts.

Go Mustangs! The promotion committee is responsible for building up school spirit among our Houston Christian community! It works directly with the Houston Christian marketing department to provide marketing materials and spirit gear for our athletic and spirit events during the school year. If you have a knack for social media, storytelling, and promotions this is your fit!
The Support Committee works with Advancement staff to achieve the school’s Annual Fund goals. Those goals would include the oversight and volunteer efforts required to produce special events, such as the gala and others, that are part of the overall annual fund plan. This committee will also serve as a liaison between the advancement office and school programs that are interested in raising resources through the annual fund.
