HC Announces New Head Baseball Coach, Tom Gladney

Houston Christian High School is proud to announce that we have named Tom Gladney as our new Head Baseball Coach. Coach Gladney will work extremely hard to ensure that HCHS Baseball continues to be very competitive in the SPC. 

Coach Gladney most recently served as the Athletic Director for the Biloxi Mississippi School District in Biloxi, Mississippi. Recently named Athletic Director of the Year for the state of Mississippi, Tom brings a wealth of baseball insight and coaching expertise.

Coach Gladney has been named Coach of the Year several times in baseball and is a member of 5 different Halls of Fames. His baseball coaching experience includes twenty years as a Division II Collegiate Head Coach and ten years as a High School Head Coach. Furthermore, he has been a Major League scout for four teams, currently working for the Milwaukee Brewers.  

Coach Gladney is a graduate of Mississippi College, where he served as Head Baseball coach for twenty seasons. In Texas, he led Waco Midway (UIL 5A) to nine district championships, two state title runs, and one state championship. He has a 278-71-1 record as a high school head coach.

Having served in many capacities for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association, Coach Gladney is highly respected. Additionally, he has served on several NCAA selection committees.

He is a devoted husband, father, and Christian. He and his wife of 37 years have two daughters and one granddaughter. Throughout his career, he has served as a leader for FCA, and he has spoken at a variety of FCA events.
