SPC Champs Two Years in a Row!

2018 SPC Champs Houston Christian boys varsity basketball team won the championship title a second year in a row in a 69-64 win over Episcopal High School. The close game between the two Houston teams was played in Dallas, and won Houston Christian senior Sahvir Wheeler the recognition of Athlete of the Week by the Houston Chronicle.

Houston Christian went into the championship tournament with 27 wins overall and undefeated in SPC and tournament play.

“The team has maintained its focus on excellence this year and it paid off,” said Ron Crandall, boys basketball coach and interim athletics director. “I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
