Ways to Give

Annual Support & Fellowship at Houston Christian

A broad variety of philanthropy programs are offered each year, each one providing opportunities for support and fellowship. The Mustang Fund (HC's Annual Fund drive), the Auction/Gala, the Mustang Classic Golf Tournament and the Give From the Heart Financial Aid Fund all provide a clear vision of HC's annual needs. These needs are in direct alignment with the mission and vision of the school and help deliver the education that grows and enhances our students and our community.

Capital Gifts

HC is actively engaged in raising funds to complete the school's campus master plan. The exemplary facilities at our school are evidence of the philanthropic support of many individuals, families and foundations. Capital giving provides donors the opportunity to extend their values and preserve their interest while meeting their needs. As in all areas of giving, donors' interests are central to this process.

Endowment

Devoted and generous donors have established endowed funds, which provide permanent income to Houston Christian. These donors sustain our pursuit of excellence through gifts that literally give forever. Every endowment generates resources that support the long-term success and financial stability of HC.

Named endowments...

  • Help students directly in the form of financial aid or merit scholarships
  • Support HC faculty and staff excellence
  • Support program excellence
  • Provide for campus enhancements

THE ALUMNI LEGACY FUND -
This endowment was created in honor and in memory of Alumni, Faculty and Staff, Board Members, and others who have been part of the school communities of Houston Christian and Northwest Academy. Established by gifts from the Northwest Academy Class of 1983, this endowment will provide need-based scholarships for the children of alumni, faculty and staff.

Planned Giving

Planned giving offers individuals and families a way of making charitable donations to the school through outright gifts, bequests, life income gifts and the creation of endowed funds. The Director of Development at Houston Christian High School is prepared to assist families interested in honoring our heritage as a part of their overall financial and estate planning.

Aaron Morales '01 - Houston Christian taught me the importance of seeing the world through the lens of a Christian worldview. Growing up as a pastor’s kid and attending Christian schools, the reverence and fear of God was placed on me. Regardless of my path, Houston Christian helped me have a constant reminder of God’s calling over my life and helped me learn how to listen to that calling. The thing I enjoy most about ministry is the fact that I can use my life to make an impact on the lives of others. My experiences have helped shape me into the person I am today. Through my journey, I am excited to now guide HCstudents' decisions and help them find their true calling. I am passionate about my career because I know that this is my life’s purpose and calling. I love making disciples of Jesus Christ, and the best part of it is that while I am helping others become more like Jesus, Christ is using that opportunity to make me more like Himself. Houston Christian inspired my goals and now I am so fortunate to come back on campus and make a positive difference. Aaron is serving as the new Men's Chaplain here at Houston Christian. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 2007. After being a Youth Pastor for 10 years, he decided to go back to school and receive his Masters of Arts in Ministerial Leadership in 2017. He and his wife, Gaby, are raising three wonderful sons who are looking forward to being Mustangs in a few years!
