StangTech Drives Away with Top Honors
Congratulatons to the Housto Christian robotics team, StangTech, upon receiving top honors at the regional BEST competition.
The team walked away with 1st Place Computer Aided Design, 14th place robot performance, and 3rd place BEST award for non-UIL schools which means the team scored high marks in all 5 major categories.
StangTech competed against 72 teams from Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma in the major categories of robot performance, marketing presentation, booth exhibit, spirit and sportsmanship, and engineering notebook. At one point the Commissioner of the Texas Workforce Commission, Julian Alvarez, specifically sought out our students to talk about their robot.
This is the best finish the team has ever received in the four year history of the program! Way to go!
