  • Bus Driver and Maintenance

    Bus Driver and Maintenance
     
    Houston Christian (HC) is accepting applications for Bus Driver and Maintenance to begin immediately. The Bus Driver is responsible to provide transportation for Athletic teams and other groups to extra-curricular activities, as needed and available. Games and events are typically Tuesdays through Fridays afternoons and evenings and occasionally Saturday mornings. There may be occasional overnight or weekend trips. Additional time will be in support of the Facilities Team performing general maintenance. Hourly wage is based on experience, minimum $18/hour. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must have CDL and maintain a good driving record. School Bus Endorsement preferred. 
    • Two years experience driving with a CDL license.
    • Ability to read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
    • Exhibit excellent verbal, visual, written and interpersonal communication skills. English fluency required.
    • Basic knowledge of first-aid procedures.
    • General maintenance knowledge and skills. 
    • Must be at least 25 years of age.

  • Counseling Assistant

    Counseling Assistant
     
    Houston Christian, is accepting applications for Counseling Assistant. This position performs administrative duties and manages logistics for the Counseling Office and serves as the initial contact person for the counseling office team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and reports to the Director of Counseling and College Guidance.  This position is open to be filled immediately.

  • Development Associate  for Events and Parent Relations

    Development Associate  for Events and Parent Relations

    Houston Christian is accepting applications for the position of Development Associate  for Events and Parent Relations. The Development Associate serves as the first contact to many new and current parents. The Parent Relations and Events Manager is charged with the planning, implementation, coordination and assessment of all aspects of parent programming..The Development Associate works in collaboration with the Advancement Departments and reports to the Director of Development. This is a full-time, 12 month, exempt position. 
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years of fundraising experience.  
    • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software preferred.   
    • Requires demonstrated success in fundraising project management, events, and volunteer management.

    The main initiative for this role is to build meaningful and long-lasting relationships with parent volunteers and the Houston Christian (HC) parent and grandparent community. Through volunteer engagement, the Parent Relations and Events Manager aims to create an HC experience for parents that involves community, fellowship and an opportunity to give back to their children’s school in a meaningful way. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated success in project management, fundraising, event planning, stewardship and volunteer management. High levels of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative are important, as well as a high regard for confidentiality.   • Development Associate  for Annual Giving

    Development Associate  for Annual Giving

    Houston Christian is accepting applications for the position of Development Associate.   • Track Head Coach

    Track Head Coach
     
    Houston Christian High School (HC), a member of the Southwest Preparatory Conference, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Track Head Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position. After school, evening and weekend hours will be necessary.
     
    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of the sport, coaching high school athletes, and development of assistant coaches. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience building a highly competitive program and the ability to successfully recruit middle school players. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Track Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director  and is responsible for the overall operations of the program, in and out of season. Additional duties of the head coach include working in coordination with the Athletic Director to manage program budget, supervise activities and promote positive community relations. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
    • Minimum of five years coaching experience preferred 
    • Ability to supervise and evaluate the coaching responsibilities of assistant track coaches.
    • Working knowledge of SPC policies and HC policies governing athletics.
    • Broad knowledge and skills in the principles and methods of track program operations.

    Applicants should have a comprehensive knowledge of the sport and coaching high school athletes. Coaches at HC promote sportsmanship, foster good character in student athletes, provide for the safety and welfare of all participants, and lead as a Christian role model in all settings. The Girls’ Baseball Assistant Coach reports to the  Head Coach and Athletic Director. Applicants shall embrace the athletic philosophy of the school and give full support to the multi-sport athlete.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
    • Coaching experience preferred
