PACT (Pre-ACT) Wednesday, 11/15/17 for 9th and 10th grade students.  This is a grace day for 11th and 12th grade students (perfect day to visit a college).

All 9th and 10th graders will take the Pre-ACT Test. The Pre-ACT provides a practice experience for the ACT test, insights into a student's predicted performance on ACT and career interest information for students.  Students also receive feedback about their areas of strength and where they need to improve.  Score reports will be sent home in January.  The details are as follows:

  •  Room assignments will be posted the day before at major entryways and   outside the Counseling office.

  •  Students must be at school and seated in their assigned room by 8:30 AM.

  •  There is no Fine Arts Block on Wednesday, Nov. 15

  •  Everyone should bring several #2 pencils

  •  Students will need  a basic multi-function  calculator.  9th and 10th graders   have different school calculators.  The 9th grade calculator is approved by   ACT and may be used on the Pre-ACT.  The 10th grade calculator (TI   Inspire   CAS) is NOT approved for the ACT tests and so 10th graders MAY   NOT use their school calculator.  Students have received information about   the approved calculators.   You can also find this  information on ACT's web   page as the calculators for ACT are the same for Pre-ACT.

  •  Students will be dismissed to go home after testing which will be at  approximately 12:00 PM.  No lunch service is available.

  •  The dress code is regular Uniform Dress.

  •  Students should eat a good protein-based breakfast.

  •  Juniors and Seniors do not have to attend on November 15.

Birkman Testing Information

"My most memorable moment at HC was most definitely when we beat East Bernard in football my senior year. That was the moment I experienced the most unity with the team and was the most proud to be a part of the Mustang family. One of the greatest traits I have attained at HC is the fearless courage to step out and be different from the rest of the world. This is key, because I know that people will always look at me differently because of my faith and now, I have the courage to tell them why I love Christ."

Ryland Hennessey

"Houston Christian has given me a community where I  grew and reached my utmost potential. I have grown in my faith, confidence, leadership and character. There is no better place that I can say that can do all of these things."

Courtney King

"When I look back on my time at HC, I can't decide on a specific memory because there are too many. I am so thankful for all my teachers and friends. Some of my greatest memories are in Mr. Lister's classroom. Not only was it where I learned Geometry, but it also became my second home and where I would eat lunch every day with my friends."
